The
Housexy Stick Phone Range
That's
right - stick phones! Simple enough concept - cut up a normal
pair of headphones and mount each Earcup onto a straight handle.
Actually putting something tough and reliable together proved
a little more difficult!
Like
many, I'd seen the offerings from the US at $170 each. Whilst
they seem pretty tough, I knew I could do better. The end result,
Aluminium tube handle (lightweight and very strong), Rubber (not
foam) grips (which resist acid!) especially imported from the
US , and quality construction with a 3 month 'return to me' warranty
on my workmanship.
I
offer two Earcup options - Pioneer HDJ-1000 or Sony MDR-V700.
If I'm honest, the Pioneer headphones lend themselves to stick
mounting much better than the Sonys and I would encourage everyone
to take the Pioneer option - they're much tougher in my opinion.

Pioneer
HDJ-1000 with 9" (approx) Handle
I can
make up any length handle you want on the stick, but bear in mind
if you want a handle less than 9", the rubber grip will be
shortened and I'm unable to provide the 'factory finish' on the
lower edge. Saying that, it's hardly noticable but is something
to bear in mind.
Prices:
Pioneer
HDJ-1000 Earcup on any length handle - £130 Delivered
Sony
MDR-V700 Earcup on any length handle - £120 Delivered
The
Pioneer comes with a 3 month return to me warranty on my workmanship
only - misuse/abuse isn't covered! These Stickphones are available
from me direct for a limited time only. After that, they will
only be available through 2 London Record outlets, to special
order and will definately cost alot more.

you really want a Sony stick, then contact me for warranty info.
